Run 350
Run 350 is part of an upcoming series of environment-related initiatives by Young NTUC. It aims to raise awareness about the 350 movement and hopes to raise enough to plant 350 trees during our 5th Anniversary celebration on 30th April 2010
Why 350?
350 is the number that leading scientists say is the safe upper limit for carbon dioxide—measured in "Parts Per Million" in our atmosphere. 350 PPM—it's the number humanity needs to get back to as soon as possible to avoid runaway climate change. Currently standing at 387 ppm.
In the last century, Carbon Dioxide (CO2) levels have increased at an alarming rate from decade to decade, thus urging us to reduce our emissions and slow the effects of climate change before irreversible damage is done to our home.
Run350 is in support of 350.org - an international campaign dedicated to building a movement to unite the world around solutions to the climate crisis--the solutions that science and justice demand.
Our mission is to inspire the world to rise to the challenge of the climate crisis—to create a new sense of urgency and of possibility for our planet.
